Three habits prevent most damage: store the doll properly (hanging or lying flat, without pressure points), choose light-coloured, colour-fast clothing, and clean and powder the doll regularly. When moving her, never pull on fingers or wrists — that way the finger skeleton also stays where it belongs.

The good news: the most common damages are minor. Small cuts and tears in TPE can be closed with special TPE glue — clean the area, let it dry, apply the glue thinly, press the edges together and let it cure without rushing. Superficial scratches are usually no drama either: after cleaning and powdering they often barely show. The only rule is to force nothing and take your time.

The material decides your chances. TPE is thermoplastic and comparatively forgiving to glue — small cuts disappear almost invisibly with clean work. Silicone is much harder: it requires special silicone adhesives, bonds less willingly, and the repaired spot more often remains visible.
