Small cuts in TPE: yes. With TPE glue, clean preparation and patience while curing, you can usually close them almost invisibly. Large tears in stressed areas and damage to silicone are much trickier — before attempting those yourself, an honest assessment based on photos is worth it.

Not always. TPE ages: over the years it can become softer, oilier and more fragile, and glued seams then hold less well. For a well-kept doll with a single damage the effort is often worth it; for heavily aged material, usually not. Send us photos — we'll assess it honestly for you.
Three habits prevent most damage: store the doll properly (hanging or lying flat, without pressure points), choose light-coloured, colour-fast clothing, and clean and powder the doll regularly. When moving her, never pull on fingers or wrists — that way the finger skeleton also stays where it belongs.

The good news: the most common damages are minor. Small cuts and tears in TPE can be closed with special TPE glue — clean the area, let it dry, apply the glue thinly, press the edges together and let it cure without rushing. Superficial scratches are usually no drama either: after cleaning and powdering they often barely show. The only rule is to force nothing and take your time.

The material decides your chances. TPE is thermoplastic and comparatively forgiving to glue — small cuts disappear almost invisibly with clean work. Silicone is much harder: it requires special silicone adhesives, bonds less willingly, and the repaired spot more often remains visible. The classic: dark, tight clothing rubs off onto light TPE. Such discolourations aren't a tear in the true sense, but they are the most common cosmetic damage — and they need patience rather than aggressive products. The most common wear of all: over time, the skeleton wire at the fingertips pushes through the soft material. This happens to almost every doll eventually, especially if the hands take load when the doll is moved.
