The COVID-19 pandemic is canceling hundreds of events worldwide. To protect public health, everything from large events like football matches and concerts to birthdays and smaller gatherings has been canceled or postponed.
But the unusual things never end. Yuri Tolochko, a Russian bodybuilder and actor, gained popularity last year with a wedding with his real doll .
Yuri announced in December 2020 that after eight months of dating, he had decided to marry his real doll . The relationship with Margo, the doll's name, is published on Yuri's Instagram account with many photos and videos.
The relationship brought the bodybuilder great popularity and led to several interviews and numerous television invitations. In these interviews, Yuri was always very serious about the relationship and insisted on treating his professed love with respect.
Last year, he said in one of his numerous interviews that he had undergone plastic surgery on his wrist because Margo had begun to develop a complex. Yuri had to adjust. "One should always find compromises within a marriage (...)"
Reactions on social media regarding the marriage were very mixed. There were many insults attacking Yuri, while others congratulated him on his relationship.
